Haha. The car was in amazing condition visually. Not a flaw in the paint or interior, looked like a 2 year old car instead of a 25 year old car. Wasn't able to test drive it though because the guy had to go to work (even though I was there for a test drive when we set up the appt) and then when I called back later to set it up it was raining and he didn't want to drive in the rain understandingly. Only thing that gave me concern was when the car was started there was a lot of water mixed with what looked like oil coming from one bank of the exhaust. He said that was normal due to condensation from his garage, but I had my doubts. Between that and the lack of a test drive I told the potential buyer to do his research and offer accordingly. But the guy was asking about double the going rate for a TR right now, so not sure if the deal will go down.
Also in the guy's garage there were 3 Porsches - a 55 speedster replica, a 58 356 Speedster, and a " 1 of 5" 964 Speedster.
There is another almost identical TR for sale in my city right now, for a much more reasonable price. Hopefully check that one out soon so I can compare the 2.
